ok... I decided to translate here what we say in french section... Hoping people who aren't french there can tell what they think too!
(I wouldn't feel hurt if french people help me...)
last news are about Alban's health. As I wrote on the homepage, he's got an injury at his back and had to withdaw from the french championships. We don't know yet if he'll get better for the Grand Prix finale in St Petersburg. He's got his plane on next wednesday anyway... So we'll see!!
Concerning the european championships, Alban is qualified to represent France, even if he didn't take part to the national championship.

Thank you Kmille, great idea this section! I am sure that Russian Fan and Malgosia will appreciate it!

Good idea Kmille!But for me it will be difficult to have a discussion here but i try to make some effort...(mdrrr c'est vraiment anglais ça??Kmille tu peux me corriger si c'est vraiment nul )

Bon par contre le portugais ou l'espagnol faut pas trop compter sur moi...(mais je suis quand même toute fière d'avoir compris quelques trucs de la commentatrice espagnole sur le nouveau programme de Brian, genre "muy bien" Par contre le coup du triple flip au lieu du quadruple, ca passe pas! :evil: )

Moi aussi, j'ai compris tout ce qu'elle disait (ou presque), et en danse également! Ca m'a rassurée sur mon niveau en espagnol! (On n'apprend vraiment rien en 5 ans avec les cours!)

So do I, I understood nearly all that the spanish commentator said in Brian's and ice dancing videos of Cup of Russia! I am reassured about my level in spanish (we hardly learn anything during our 5 years at school)!

Ben écoute, MOI AUSSI... pourtant, je n'ai jamais appris l'espagnol... et je le regrette, à l'époque, (lol), il était de bon ton d'apprendre l'allemand... j'ai un "espagnol" de cuisine... ou bien de touriste... Servicios...(?), postres...(?), MAIS, j'ai suivi le commentaire de la télévision!!!!

we have a future english teacher here, it's her job

spanish and portuguese... why not... but I don't understand these languages!!! (sorry... "just" english, german, a liiiiittle russian... and Latin very useful, isn't it? ) don't push me or at the first german member, I open a german section!!! (I guess there's someone here who could help me too ) I could tell my teacher "well, I'm ready for Bonn next year!!!" (not really indeed... I'm still wondering why I go there...)

latest news for english members: the french federation didn't chose french team yet for the world championship, except Delobel/Schoenfelder and Pechalat/ Bourzat, though they are substitutes (I don't know if you'll understand... ) for the european championships.

The other men selected to EC with Alban are Brian Joubert (of course ) and Yannick Ponsero

Once again, we only have on girl selected, Anne-Sophie Calvez.

This year, we have 2 pairs : Marylin Pla & Yannick Bonheur, and Adeline Canac & Maximin Coia.

And in Ice dancing, France will be represented by Isabelle Delobel & Olivier Schoenfelder, and Pernelle Carron & Mathieu Jost.

It was elation for me to know that Alban will take part in Europeans. I was afraid he will not be in team because of missing Nationals. Of course, I hope that he will come to Petersburg.

Callisto, thank you for news too. :) But what about Pechalat/ Bourzat? Why they are absent in team for Europeans? Did they poorly skated at Nationals?

I think FFSG (French federation) wants all the dancers (Delobel/Schoenfelder, Pechalat/Bourzat and Carron Jost) to take part to an international competition. Of course, Delobel/Schoenfelder will do both EC and WC. But we have only two places for each competition. So Carron/Jost will do the EC, and Pechalat/Bourzat, who are better, will do the WC.

On the one hand, it is a good thing for Carron/Jost, because they have something, I am sure nearly sure they will do podiums in a few year, but they need to take part to international competitions to really improve. And it is a good way to know what is their level.
But on the other hand, Pechalat/Bourzat improved a lot, have great programs, and were closed to the top 10 las year at Euros. Navka/Kostomarov and Grushina/Goncharov stop skating in competitions(maybe Chait/Sakhnovsky? I think they continue for one year, but I am not sure...) so Nathalie and would still win places. And if they placed quite well and if Isabelle and Olivier are on the podium (I think they will be second or third) we would have 3 places for EC 2008! I think it will be harder at WC, with all the Canadian and American pairs... And I don't think neither that Pernelle and Mathieu will be well placed enough for us to have 3 pairs next year! I love what they do, but judges don't know them enough, and it is a little bit early, they have been skating together for only two years (even less)!

Alban will finally take part to the Grand Prix Final! At training, last friday, he passed two triple axels. He says he is ready for the final, even if he won't be totally operational...

I`m very happy I was in Ice Palace all that weekend. It was... so delightful, so magnificent. No comments. I`m ashamed, but I haven`t herd about Alban...
He`s very charming skater!!! :) My friends and me like him so much! I forgot to say: Alban gave a little interview to my friend Lyuba. And now she says with smile: We have a special relationships with Alban.
